History of Fox Chapel
The name Fox Chapel came from John Fox, who inmigrated from Germany in the year 1831.
He farmed the land around where now stands the United Methodist Church. Soon after his death in 1889 his daughter, Eliza Fox Teats, donated some land to the Methodist Church so that they would build a chapel.
The chapel was to be named in honor of her father.
